Provide research assistance for a socio-technical study that focuses on the ways in which networks of organizations make use of networking technologies. Prior studies have found that interorganizational relationships strongly shape some uses of IT (like online information resources, for example). This study extends these studies to look specifically at intranets. A number of firms in widely divergent industries have begun to adopt intranets. Why? What incentives do firms have to build an intranet? How are intranets actually used by the firms that have them? This study seeks to answer these questions, paying special attention to the interorganizational relationships of these firms. |

Assist in the development of a data collection system to track grants in the Healthy Start and After School Programs (HSASP) Office. Duties include to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of grant tracking databases; Assist with the migration and subsequent validation of existing grant data; Provide technical and use support; Maintain the HSASP website. |

As a team member, worked with personnel from all functions at the Sacramento facility to initiate, design and develop the initial Intranet at GenCorp Aerojet. Responsibilities included definition of the format, content and approach to the data for the Intranet. Developed, maintained, and updated web pages using HTML and Adobe Exchange (.pdf files). |
